Happy Mother’s Day! Y’all hear me talk about Mother Cookie all the time on here. She’s my biggest fan and one of the main reasons this blog is able to exist. When I first started it, I was still living at home. My mama did everything possible to help me get it up and running. She made grocery trip runs, taste-tested anything and everything, helped clean up my messes, and gave me some of my best recipe ideas.
More than 5 years later, we may no longer live in the same house (or state), but she still has my back in every way. When I needed to take a break from blogging for my own sanity, she understood. When I wanted to pick it back up again, she was excited for me. The best moms are the ones who have your back no matter what it is you want to do, and I have the best in the world.
Thank you, Mother Cookie, for keeping me sane, being there to bounce all my ideas off of, and always being first in line to taste-test. Happy Mother’s Day!
I’m in CT for the weekend with my family and I’ll be spending the morning on Mother’s Day making breakfast for my mama. It’s a twist on a classic that I’ll share with y’all soon. But in the meantime, let’s catch up on the posts I shared this week:
Make that TWO breakfast recipe favorites I’ll be sharing with you soon, because I’ve got this casserole coming to you next week. We love to make this for family get-togethers, and I know you’ll love it too.
The whole Cookie clan was in CT this weekend so that we could celebrate Mother’s Day and a gazillion birthdays: Sister Cookie’s birthday, Father Cookie’s birthday, Brother-in-Law Cookie’s birthday, and Ryan’s birthday. It’s rare we can all get together on the same weekend, so we have to take advantage of it! And on top of all that, it’s just darn great to see pup.
We all had an excellent dinner out at the Coach Stop in East Hartland, CT. I’ll share more details with you in a review next week, but for now, here’s a teaser of their homemade fried mozzarella.
A lousy two days away has me missing my own fur babies. Mina is just the prettiest girl in the world.
Okay, the two of them are practically models, if I’m being honest.
