Speaking of the future, let’s talk about what you’ve got to look forward to next week. Tuesday will be my 600th post. Holy crow, that’s a lot of good food! I’ll be whipping up something particularly delicious to celebrate. And later in the week, we’ll whip up these tasty but simple cuties: White Chocolate S’mores Pops. Yum!DSC_6847

And now, friends, it’s time to celebrate! As far as I’m concerned, it’s my birthday all weekend-long. I wish you guys could’ve all been here on Thursday to party with me. Being a mature adult acknowledging my 20th birthday, I naturally had a Hello Kitty-themed birthday.

We had decorations galore… IMG_3905IMG_3907

Balloons abound…IMG_3896IMG_3953-2

I had a tiara AND a ribbon…IMG_3901 IMG_3913

My cake was Hello Kitty-ified…IMG_3914 IMG_3917

And we had some killer temporary tats!IMG_3937

And…I may have gotten a permanent tattoo as well. I figured since Mother Cookie missed out on me getting the daffodil one on my leg for her, she should have to hold my hand while I got this one. I wanted a word to represent what I overcame in the past, as I explained in the Thought Catalog article I shared with you guys last week. It says “resilient.” I chose the placement so it will always be there when I look in the mirror in the future as a reminder of what to exemplify.

Don’t worry; I’m not getting covered in tattoos! This was just something special I wanted to do for myself.resilient-2

That was my present to myself, but let’s talk about what everyone else got me. I am excited to say I am now the proud owner of a KitchenAid mixer. The red one you might have noticed in my videos is actually Mother Cookie’s; I was borrowing it. This one is all mine.kitchenaid

This little owl utensil holder is a perfect addition to my owl-themed kitchen. He’s such a bold and proud cutie.owl caddy

Let’s talk about the most fitting gift of all: a cookie-shaped spatula and a cat-shaped cookie cutter. That’s basically me in a nutshell.spatula

Of course, you can’t have a party without cake. The HK theme continues here with all that fabulous HK décor. The cake was marble with whipped cream frosting – simple, but delicious!cake

I wish I could share a slice with you too, but that baby’s long gone. I am powerless in the face of cake (and most sugary foods). Thanks for joining me for the celebration. Now, to close, your weekly cat photos:

Happy happy birthday! I remember my 20th birthday well, even though it was like a billion years ago. :) I think Mina believes that mixer is his, judging by the photo above.
