In case you missed it…
Smart Cookie introduced a brand new series: Smart Cookie College Cuisine. It aims to provide easy and inexpensive meals for the college student. No matter what your cooking level is, these meals are doable and delicious. And even if you’re not a college student, these cheap and simple meals are great for anyone short on time and/or cash. Best of all? These meals are downright delicious.
Smart Cookie also made cooking easier this week with a new video. I’m teaching a cooking basic: how to make a roux. It’s a super simple technique, but many people don’t realize that. There’s nothing to fear. Watch and see!
Now, let’s get down to business. I have two exciting announcements for you today. First of all, Monday is Smart Cookie’s one-year birthday! I am so excited, and I can’t believe it’s been a year already. Make sure you stop in to celebrate. There will be a brand new video, and of course, cake!
And, on a side note: My birthday is on August 22! I’m not opposed to gifts. Just sayin’.
Now, on to my second bit of good news.
The Smart Cookie Cook is coming to the Clinton Farmer’s Market this Thursday (August 9)! If you live in or near Clinton, NY, please come and see me! I’d be delighted to see you, plus I’m giving out FREE samples of delicious baked goods. I’ll also have Smart Cookie buttons & business cards on hand. It’s going to be a good time.
The Clinton Farmer’s Market takes place on the Village Green from 9:30am to 4:00pm. See you there!
I think it’s going to be a pretty amazing week here at Smart Cookie. And if all the exciting happenings I mentioned aren’t enough to get you in a celebratory mood, then perhaps a hint at what’s to come will.
